You know the story where the kid starts a website in his dorm room and goes on to become a billionaire? Well, our story is a little bit like that, except without the dorm room, and without the billions. Our story started in a little town called Shenzhen.
A long time ago I used to have an unbelievably cool job working with a Chinese celebrity named Wangluodan (apparently like the Jennifer Aniston of China). That gig had me living out of fancy five star hotels which was nice, but there was only one problem; no company laundry allowance. With hotel rates being what they are, one day while staying at the Westin in Shenzhen, I googled “shenzhen laundry delivery service”.
Zero results. After some head scratching I consulted my local coworkers. Just wash by hand in the sink, they said. And that’s when I thought to myself, “Surely, I can’t be the only one…” And that’s how Laundry Town was born.
You don’t have to be on a business trip, or in a five star hotel to want good laundry service at a fair price. Our mission is to just make you forget about it. Laundry should be a non-issue, but sometimes it’s more like a laundry emergency. Another thing our service does is keeps hotel prices in check. Without easy, convenient laundry delivery options like us, they’d be free to raise their prices even higher.
We’ve grown, and grown, and grown some more because good laundry isn’t something that’s needed only in Shenzhen. I hope you can appreciate where we’re going and thanks for reading.
